Summer Scientific Schools (in Polish: Wakacyjne Warsztaty Wielodyscyplinarne) in an independent annual workshop for highly gifted high school students. It is a non-profit camp, organized by students of the University of Warsaw. Our key idea: it's worth to share one's scientific passion.
Since 2006 there have been six such workshops, with more than 140 high school participants tutored by about 40 students from several institutions, who have given more than 130 courses in various areas of mathematics, computer science and physics, for example:
- quantum mechanics,
- functional programming,
- Brouwer Theorem,
- random graphs,
- complexity theory,
- and many, many other topics!…
The Seventh Summer Scientific Schools will take place on 8-18 August 2011, in a school in Olsztyn.
Up to now all the students were Polish, so almost all information on this page is in Polish, but we would like to change that! If you're interested in joining us, whether as a lecturer or as a student, please write to us: moc.liamg|wwwytatzsraw#moc.liamg|wwwytatzsraw. We will be willing to change the language of most of our courses to English.
